Kelowna apartment fire displaces residents

KELOWNA–Three people won’t be able to sleep at home tonight after a fire in a Kelowna apartment complex.

It happened on Glenview Avenue. Platoon captain Steve Wallick says it was a grease fire in the kitchen.

There were no injuries, but the unit was damaged and neighbouring units had to be ventilated because of smoke.

Four fire trucks, a rescue unit and a command unit were sent to the fire, which has been extinguished.
