8-vehicle collision closes all westbound lanes of Highway 401 in Whitby

TORONTO – An eight-vehicle crash has closed all westbound lanes of Highway 401 in Whitby.

The collision happened just before noon on Monday at Brock Street.

Ontario Provincial Police say tow trucks are on scene and no injuries have been reported.

Highway conditions have been especially treacherous with the heavy snowfall.

As of 10 a.m., CAA South Central Ontario has reported over 1,800 calls for service during the morning commute.
