Okanagan forecast: mixed precip Friday

Weather update: Thursday January 22nd 4:45pm

The disturbance that crossed our region Thursday was a weak one, and only very isolated precip fell on the valley floor.  However a stronger push of moisture will move in Friday. At this time, it looks like most of the precip Friday will fall as rain, but isolated pockets of freezing rain or snow is possible in some areas.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Leftover showers are possible on Saturday, and daytime high temperatures will also continue to increase through the weekend with a persistent flow aloft from the sub tropics.

We will return to a drier and brighter weather pattern by the end of the weekend.

More details coming up at 5, 6:30 and 11pm!

Friday ‘s daytime high range: 0 to 5C
