Miss Universe Canada scores big buzz with hockey costume

MIAMI – Miss Universe Canada is hoping to take home the crown at the pageant, but she’s already scored big buzz with her outlandish hockey-themed costume. (Scroll down for the other outfits.)

Chanel Beckenlehner took to the stage in a preliminary Miss Universe competition sporting a corseted bustier emblazoned with a black and white Maple Leaf.

The Caledon, Ont., native paired it with a skirt resembling goal-post netting.

She also wore knee-high, lace-up boots reminiscent of skates, wings fashioned out of hockey sticks, and a replica of the Stanley Cup as a head piece.

The 26-year-old capped off the towering ensemble with an electronic scoreboard and a goaltender stick.
