HALIFAX – RCMP say no charges will be laid in a Cape Breton bus crash last summer that killed one passenger.
The tour bus, which was carrying 20 passengers, crashed on a highway along the Cabot Trail about three kilometres south of Neils Harbour on July 13.
Victoria County RCMP said on Monday an investigation determined the crash happened because the bus driver fell asleep.
The bus tipped onto its side into a ditch around 2:30 p.m., injuring 10 people. One of the injured passengers later died after being airlifted to hospital.
