Okanagan forecast: mostly dry with just a slight chance of flurries this weekend

Weather update: Thursday January 8th 4:45pm

The upper ridge that has been directing any significant systems up and over our region since Tuesday will start to break down.

Valley cloud and fog will still be around Friday morning, but as warmer air aloft gets replaced by cooler air, we may see a break of sun midday.  However, with the breakdown of the ridge, a weak system will try to push inland late Friday bringing increasing cloud in the afternoon, but little or no precipitation is expected over the weekend for most areas as this system doesn’t pack much punch.

See you at 5, 6:30 and 11pm!

Friday’s daytime high range: 0 to +4C
