A 24-year-old Surrey man is dead after what appears to have been a targeted shooting in Delta Friday night.
Delta police said the shooting happened at about 8:20 p.m. at a residence in the 11800-block of 75A Avenue.
Late Saturday, Delta Police identified the victim as Arundeep Cheema. They say he was known to police and was visiting another person’s home when he was found dead in his vehicle.
Delta Police Major Crimes and Forensic investigators will be taking over the case, but they are working with the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team.
