UPDATE: RCMP issued an update at 4:20 p.m. Wednesday, stating the earlier report of an attempted abduction of two boys north of Spruce Grove was completely unfounded. Officers issued the update following a “thorough investigation.”
EDMONTON — Earlier in in the day, RCMP said they had located a suspect vehicle and its owner was being questioned following a report of an attempted abduction north of Spruce Grove Tuesday afternoon.
Police previously said two boys were playing in their front yard in Parkland Village around 3 p.m. when they were approached by an unknown man in a vehicle. The boys, aged eight and 12, told police the man stopped his vehicle and asked the boys to come with him. Police said the boys immediately went into their home and the man drove away.
