“Officers will be in these areas to raise awareness about theft and property crime, and to target criminal activity when necessary,” says Acting Sgt. Christopher Lucas.

Officers will be focusing on the Sir Winston Churchill and Stadium LRT platforms, downtown hotels, the downtown pedway system and shopping centre parking lots.

Police will also be working with the Alberta Motor Association and Centre High students to distribute information about crime prevention.

The initiative started Monday and will run until Thursday.
