Monday December 15th on The Morning News

We’ll get things started at 6:45 with an interview all about breakfast and how it really is the most important meal of the day. The folks with Nourish Nova Scotia will drop by the red table to tell us about their Christmas campaign that encourages people to make a donation in the name of a significant person in their lives. Nourish Nova Scotia will then send a holiday greeting card to that person to acknowledge the gift.

We’ll tell you about a fundraiser happening next week at The Company House in the North End. Broken Earth presents Music for Haiti event will help to raise money to help send a group of physicians to Haiti in the New Year to help support the country’s health care system. We’ll have all the details about their work Monday at 7:15.

In our Share the Wow segment at 7:45, we bask in the afterglow of the opening of the new Halifax Central Library.   CEO and Chief Librarian Åsa Kachan shares her favourite moments and gives the details on how you can have all your library fines wiped away!  No strings attached.  Plus we’ll get the details on some fun free events happening at the new library.

It’s the perfect time of year to add colour and tang to your cooking with some fresh, local cranberries. At 8:15 we’ll take a closer look at the local berry with Evelyn Ernst of Terra Beata Cranberries.

We’ll have a special holiday kids fashion show at 8:45 featuring clothing from Halifax’s own Bib ‘n Tucker!  Yes even kids worry about their fashion choices over the holidays and we’ll show you some great options for your kids on Monday!
