EDMONTON — A 17-year-old from the Killam area was killed Tuesday morning when she lost control of her vehicle and slid into the path of a school bus.
The girl, whose name will not be released died at the scene located just west of Sedgewick on Highway 13.
The school bus was not carrying any passengers at the time of the crash, and no charges are anticipated against the bus driver.
Traffic had to be detoured for more than five hours as RCMP investigated the crash.
Investigators say the weather was clear at the time of the crash, however, the road conditions were icy.
