Man charged in 2011 Yorkton, Sask. attack, confinement case

YORKTON, Sask. – A man has been charged in a Yorkton, Sask. cold case.

On March 30, 2011, a woman walking along Laurier Avenue said she was approached by a man in a truck asking for directions.

She said he spoke briefly with her before getting out of his truck, grabbing her and holding a knife to her throat then forcing her into the back of his vehicle.

The woman, who was 21 at the time, was able to get away uninjured a few seconds later.

Yorkton RCMP have now charged Dalin Davidson, 23, with forcible confinement and assault with a weapon.

He will make his first court appearance on Friday.
