WATCH: Children spend afternoon cleaning graves of war dead

A group of children are doing much more than wearing poppies to pay tribute to B.C.’s war heroes.

They spent Monday afternoon at the Fraser Cemetary in New Westminster, cleaning the graves of soldiers who died

They’re being helped along by a woman with a personal connection to one of the most dangerous jobs in World War One.

It’s the second year that the Officers of the Honorable Guard Society has organized the event.
