VANCOUVER – A distraught woman has been safely taken into custody in Houston after she barricaded herself inside a home.
RCMP say they received about the woman in the home in the 2200-block of Tweedie Avenue and when they arrived they learned she may have a firearm.

For police and public safety, the Prince George Emergency Response Team (ERT) and two negotiators were called in to assist the Houston RCMP as police were very concerned for the woman’s well-being.
She has now been safely taken into custody and is being attended by medical personnel.
The RCMP thank the Houston public for their respect and patience while they were dealing with the situation.
