From Monday to Friday, events will shed light on awareness and those attempting to improve response to violent acts and reducing the harm it causes.
“Violence prevention and reduction is everyone’s responsibility. Through awareness we can work to minimize the threat of or use of violence against all citizens,” said Gordon Wyant, Saskatchewan’s justice minister.
“I commend the University of Regina (U of R) for requesting the proclamation and support their activities this week to bring awareness to this important issue.”
The U of R is addressing the topic with a series of events this week as part of the ‘Man Up Against Violence Project’.
