5-week-old puppy reportedly stolen from Surrey home

If anyone sees this puppy they are asked to call Surrey RCMP. Mike Trick

VANCOUVER – One concerned Lower Mainland resident is hoping people can keep their eyes open for a five-week-old puppy, reportedly stolen from a Surrey home Sunday night.

The puppy is a Mastiff cross and was reportedly taken along with another puppy, which has since been found.

Mike Trick told Global BC that it all started when four men came to look at the puppies for sale at a home on Grosvenor Road. His girlfriend lives next door and they were alerted to what was happening when they saw the men reportedly take off with two of the dogs.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

They and some of the neighbours gave chase and Trick said three of the men were eventually arrested. The female puppy was found when someone brought her to a vet in Surrey Monday morning.

Trick said RCMP do have a file on the missing puppy and he is hoping someone knows where it might be.
