Tragically Hip tour to hit 17 Canadian cities next year

TORONTO — Veteran Canadian rock band The Tragically Hip announced a North American tour Monday that kicks off in January with three nights at the House of Blues in Chicago.

The tour marks the reissue of the 1992 album Fully Completely. The band’s third full-length album, remastered by Bob Ludwig, will be released as a 2 CD Deluxe set, a “Super Deluxe” set and a vinyl edition.

The Fully and Completely Tour includes several shows at home in Canada: Windsor, Ont. (Jan. 17), Victoria (Feb. 4), Vancouver (Feb. 6), Kelowna (Feb. 7), Calgary (Feb. 9), Lethbridge (Feb. 10), Edmonton (Feb. 12), Winnipeg (Feb. 14), St. Catharines, Ont. (Feb. 17), Toronto (Feb. 19), Montreal (Feb. 20), St. John’s (April 8), Moncton (April 10), Halifax (April 11), Kingston, Ont. (April 14), Oshawa, Ont. (April 15) and London, Ont. (April 17).

The Hip will wrap up April 18 with a show at the First Niagara Center in Buffalo, New York.

The band is scheduled to perform a free show in Toronto’s Yonge-Dundas Square on Oct. 8.

The Tragically Hip has released 12 full-length studio albums since 1989, earned more than a dozen Juno Awards, and were honoured last year with a Canada Post stamp. The group has also been inducted into Canada’s Walk of Fame and the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
