Trout Creek boil water notice

SUMMERLAND — Trout Creek residents are being asked to boil their water for safety purposes. The District of Summerland says contamination may have entered the water system after a water main break.

Interior Health is advising residents to boil water being used to wash food, brush teeth or consumed in any way. Residents will be notified when the notice is lifted. The latest updates will be posted on the District of Summerland’s website.

The boil water notice doesn’t apply to the rest of the Summerland Water System or Garnet Valley Water System. District of Summerland officials didn’t have an exact number but say the boil water notice affects a few thousand residents.
