MEDICINE HAT- Police in Medicine Hat confirm that a man wanted in an assault that sent three people to hospital has been taken into custody.
Officers were looking for 26-year-old Jacob Lucien Shevchenko after a vicious assault early Sunday morning.
Medicine Hat police located two of the victims at a residence in the 800 block of 3rd St. SE.
A third victim was found a short distance from the home.
Two of the victims were treated at Medicine Hat hospital.
The third and one was airlifted to hospital in Calgary with serious injuries.
Police began looking for 26-year-old Jacob Lucien Shevchenko who was believed to be driving a red, 2001 Ford F-150.
Medicine Hat police located Shevchenko in a stolen vehicle in the Rossland area following a pursuit at approximately 10 am.
He was taken into custody and charges are pending.
