TECUMSEH, Ont. – Provincial police say a 31-year-old woman is in hospital after being shot during an apparent home invasion in the Windsor area.
They say the incident happened early Wednesday in Tecumseh, a town just outside Windsor in southwestern Ontario.
Police say officers responding to reports of a home invasion (in the Manning Road area) found the victim with non-life-threatening injuries inside a house.
It’s alleged that unknown suspects fired upon the home from outside.
Police, including a canine unit and emergency response teams, investigated at the scene but no suspects were immediately found.
Investigators say they would like to speak with anyone who may have information about the incident.
