MONTREAL – Montreal was one of the hundreds of cities around the world that took part in Sunday’s People’s Climate March, demanding greater efforts to tackle climate change.
The Montreal edition started in Lafontaine Park and ended with a pow-wow at Jeanne-Mance park.

Marches also took place simultaneously in other cities as well, including the main one in New York City, where world leaders will gather next week for a united nations climate summit.

The marches are aimed at galvanizing political will for a new global climate treaty by the end of 2015.
