REGINA – Around 29-hundred claims have been filed so far with Saskatchewan Government Insurance (SGI) after two major summer storms.
SGI says about 16-hundred have flowed in from damage done over the Canada Day long weekend — most of it the result of sewer backups.

Another 13-hundred are from bad weather that struck during the first week of August and many of them are for wind and hail damage.
The Crown insurer says it hasn’t been able to put a dollar figure on the claims.
