MONTREAL — A residence in Saint-Jude, 50 kilometres northeast of Montreal, was the victim of a home invasion late Saturday.

A man was injured and an unknown amount of money was stolen.

The incident happened around 11 p.m., when four people, at least one of whom was masked, forced open the entrance to the home on Rang Salvail Sud.

They attacked the two occupants, causing minor injuries to one of them.

According to one of the victims, one of the attackers had a knife.

The Sûreté du Québec said the home was probably not picked randomly.

The suspects fled in a dark-coloured vehicle that looked about 12 years old.

Police launched a search to find them, without success.
