The boy was moved to Canuck Place Hospice and died September 13th.

The fire originated at the base of the couch behind the driver’s seat and was likely caused by matches, according to coroner Jed Maddock.

Maddock reports Cody had been seen previously using matches to light a paper cup on fire at the kitchen table inside the motorhome.

There was no fire alarm or smoke detector system in the RV.

His mother was working a short distance away and had been checking on Cody every half hour, according to the report.
