There were several reports on social media of flooding in the Ottawa area Friday afternoon.
The storms were from those that moved across southwestern Ontario early Friday afternoon.

Some storms had already moved through parts of southern Ontario Friday morning. A first-year student at the University of Waterloo died after she was struck by lightning around 9 a.m.
A cold front making its way across the region could produce some severe storms Friday afternoon into the evening.
