Wayne Gretzky warns golf pro Dustin Johnson to clean up his act: report

TORONTO – The Great One had a few choice words for professional golfer and future son-in-law Dustin Johnson.

According to a Fox News report, Wayne Gretzky had a chat with Johnson, who is engaged to Gretzky’s 25-year-old daughter Paulina, to warn him to stop his partying ways or the wedding is off.

Last week, the 30-year-old golfer announced he was taking time away from the PGA Tour to deal with a reported cocaine problem.

According to Golf.com, Johnson is serving a six-month suspension from the Tour after testing positive for cocaine.

“I will use this time to seek professional help for personal challenges I have faced,” Johnson said in a statement. “By committing the time and resources necessary to improve my mental health, physical well-being and emotional foundation, I am confident that I will be better equipped to fulfill my potential and become a consistent champion.”

Golf insiders told Fox News Gretzky wanted to help Johnson and be a positive influence.

“He’s had drug problems for a while and the PGA always tried to keep it on the low. But because of his high-profile relationship, people figured it would come out sooner or later,” a golf insider told Fox.

The source also suggested talks of rehab have been ongoing for some time now.

Paulina and Johnson have been dating since 2012 and were engaged last year.
