EDMONTON – A cyclist has been taken to hospital after being struck by not one, but two vehicles in the area of 112 Avenue and 95 Street. It happened after witnesses say he rolled through a stop sign.

The man was riding his bike west on 112 Avenue when he entered the intersection, and was hit by a northbound vehicle that reportedly had a green light.

The cyclist then rolled off the hood of that vehicle and into the southbound lane of 95 Street. That’s where he was struck by a second vehicle; this time, an SUV.

According to witnesses, the female SUV driver  stopped, got out of her vehicle and asked those at the scene about the cyclist’s condition before allegedly jumping back into her silver vehicle and speeding south down 95 Street.

The full extent of the cyclist’s injuries is not known, but it’s believed he suffered minor injuries, including a concussion.
