Fire at Tolko Mill in Kelowna believed to be deliberately set
KELOWNA – A fire at the Tolko Mill Monday evening is believed to have been deliberately set.
The fire broke out around 7 p.m. on a berm that separates the mill from Manhattan Drive.
The mill’s sprinkler system kicked in and prevented the fire from spreading.
The Kelowna Fire department arrived and finished the job.
Fire officials say transients are known to frequent the area.
The Investigation has been turned over to the RCMP.
