TORONTO – The Queen of England disappointed many Game of Thrones fans after she visited the set in Belfast Tuesday morning and failed to sit on the Iron Throne.
Her Majesty and Prince Philip went behind the scenes and were introduced to several cast members, including Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark, Lena Headey who plays Queen Cersei Lannister and Kit Harington who stars as Jon Snow.
The event, which was broadcast live on YouTube, had fans on social media eagerly hoping the Queen would sit and “take the Iron Throne.”
After what appeared to have been some contemplation, the Queen decided against it:

If the Queen doesn't sit on the Iron Throne then this royal tour will have been a complete waste of time. Much like all royal tours ever.—

The Queen’s refusal to sit on the Iron Throne and make the institution she represents an internet joke is exactly why we respect her.
