VANCOUVER – One person is dead and four people injured after a fiery crash on the Sea to Sky Highway Saturday afternoon.
A vehicle went off the road near the Garibaldi Salt Shed past Squamish, just before 1 p.m.
Witnesses raced to the burning car and tried to put out the fire.

Two people were airlifted in serious condition to hospitals in Vancouver, including a child to BC Children’s.
Two others were taken to hospital in Squamish with non-life threatening injuries.
There is no word yet on what caused the crash.
The highway was closed in both directions for more than two hours, but has since reopened.
