Mobile home destroyed by fire near Vernon

VERNON — A mobile home in Coldstream was completely gutted by fire Friday morning.

It happened in the Kalview Trailer Park in the 85-hundred block of Clerke Road at around 9 a.m.

Fire officials are still on scene dousing hot spots at this hour.

Crews have yet to confirm if anyone was inside the residence or potentially injured.

The fire spread to a second trailer, also causing damage.

There is no word on what caused the blaze or if it is deemed suspicious.

With this latest blaze, there have been upwards of 13 fires in the Vernon area in the month of May.

RCMP are now investigating to see if a serial arsonist may be to blame.
