Watch above: Crews battle large fire at St. Michael’s hospital in downtown Toronto
TORONTO – Several downtown streets were closed near Yonge Street and Jarvis Street after a fire broke out at St. Michael’s Hospital.
The third alarm fire broke out just after 5 p.m. Tuesday in the hydro vault on the 12th floor of the building.
No one was injured in the fire and the hospital was not evacuated.
Fire crews closed Shuter Street, Queen Street and Dundas Street between Jarvis St. and Yonge st. as they work to contain the fire.
Ambulances were redirecting to other hospitals.
