Lots of work happening to get the public gardens ready for the Royal Visit. Prince Charles apparently is a keen gardener and has written many books on the subject. A tree will be dedicated in honour of the royal family in the gardens this weekend.  At 6:45 Brett Ruskin will talk with Halifax’s Chief Horticulturalist Bev McPhail who is busy preparing the City for the big day.

Megan Massacre drops by the Morning News at 7:15 to share tattoo horror stories. The star of TLC’s America’s Worst Tattoos is in town for this weekend’s Maritime Tattoo Festival.
