EDMONTON – The Edmonton Police Service says an autopsy will be done on what appear to be human remains found near Nordegg, 315 kilometres southwest of Edmonton.
A spokesperson for the EPS said the remains were discovered several kilometres away from where Anina Hundsdoerfer’s car was located on Forestry Trunk Road.
Hundsdoerfer’s vehicle was found on March 26, and Rocky Mountain RCMP have continued to search the area since. They discovered the possible remains on Monday.
Officials did not confirm whether the remains are that of the missing Edmonton woman.
The medical examiner will be conducting an autopsy later this week to determine the cause of death and identity.
More to come…
