EDMONTON – The Edmonton Police Service (EPS) confirm the vehicle of a 32-year-old woman last seen on Saturday afternoon has been located between Rocky Mountain House and Nordegg.
Anina Hundsdoerfer – a researcher and Edmonton resident – was reported missing to police by her roommate on Sunday.
It’s believed that Hundsdoerfer’s last known location was her workplace: an office near 99 Ave. and 108 St. It’s believed she disappeared between 1 and 3 p.m. on Saturday.
The 32-year-old’s disappearance is out of character, which is why police are concerned for her safety.

There are no indications of foul play, but anyone with information on Hundsdoerfer or her vehicle is asked to contact Edmonton police.
She is described as Caucasian, about 5’9’’and 160 lbs, with brown, shoulder-length hair and blue eyes. Hundsdoerfer could be wearing a long, burgundy winter coat, dark pants and glasses.
Her blue, two-door, 2005 Toyota Echo with a license plate HUZ 936, was also missing.
Police confirmed Wednesday afternoon that Hundsdoerfer’s vehicle had been located between Rocky Mountain House and Nordegg.
Alberta Fish and Wildlife officers found it parked on the side of Highway 734 on Tuesday afternoon. Officers then contacted the EPS Missing Persons Unit, and EPS officers were able to confirm the finding.

The EPS and RCMP continue to actively search for Hundsdoerfer. Her whereabouts are still unknown.
“I think everybody has worked very hard in the last few days to do everything they can to find her,” a friend of Hundsdoerfer said over the phone Wednesday evening.
The RCMP is currently searching the area where the vehicle was located, as well as in Rocky Mountain House and Nordegg.
Police would like to speak with anyone who may have seen the car parked along the side of the road, or may have given Hundsdoerfer a ride or seen her walking in the area.
“Thank you all for your love and care at this very difficult time,” a friend of Hundsdoerfer said. “I know we all hold Anina in our hearts and will continue to do so.”
Hundsdoerfer’s friends have set up a Facebook page to raise awareness about her disappearance.
