WINNIPEG – Winnipeg lawyer Brian Bowman will register as a candidate for mayor on Tuesday morning, he tweeted Monday.
The privacy lawyer said in October, when former city councillor Gord Steeves announced he would run, that he was also considering running.
“What people are telling me is it is time for something new,” Bowman said in October.
Bowman said he wasn’t available to comment on his tweet on Monday morning.
The Winnipeg municipal election will be held Oct. 22.
Steeves registered as a mayoral candidate on Friday. Blogger Gordon Warren also registered Friday to run for mayor.
