WINNIPEG – Gord Steeves has made it official and registered to run for mayor.
“This is the first step,” Steeves said after signing election papers at City Hall.
The former St.Vital councillor was accompanied by a crowd of around 50 supporters holding yellow “Steeves for Mayor” signs.
He said citizens of Winnipeg have lost faith in City Hall.
Steeves had initially announced he was entering the race in October.
On Thursday, local blogger and activist Gordon Warren registered to run. Businessman Mike Vogiatzakis attempted to register but had some problems with his paperwork.
