SHUSWAP — There’s a new hazard for Shuswap residents near McIntyre Creek this weekend, pooling water.
An evacuation order remains in place as the creek is still clogged after a debris flow Wednesday afternoon.

Emergency Management BC says water is now pooling in the area, which means it’s still unsafe for residents.
Seven homes were evacuated Wednesday.
There’s no timeline on when they will be allowed back into their homes but remedial work needs to finish before the evacuation order is lifted.
