WINNIPEG – Power has been restored after about 1,000 south St. Vital Manitoba Hydro customers woke up with no lights Thursday morning.
An area south of Bishop Grandin Boulevard between Dakota Street and St. Anne’s Road lost power at 4:30 a.m., a Manitoba Hydro spokesperson said.

Power was restored to 250 customers before 7:30 a.m. and the rest of the area was restored by 8:30 a.m.
The outage was caused by a problem with an underground feeder line, Manitoba Hydro said.
