A Langley man suspected of attempted murder is now facing 13 charges.
Forty-four-year-old Andre Harvey Richard has been arrested near Fernie Thursday morning.
It is believed Richard broke into and started a fire in a Langley home, and then assaulted his estranged wife. The woman’s daughter tried to break up the fight and was hit with a weapon.
Richard is known to police for previous domestic violence.
After the incident, Mounties have issued an arrest warrant for Richard for breaching his condition of no contact with his wife.
Now he’s facing 13 charges including three counts of attempted murder; arson; break and enter; four counts of assault with a weapon; two counts of assault causing bodily harm; and two counts of breach of recognizance.
He will appear in Surrey Provincial Court Monday morning.
No formal charges have been laid at this point.
