STARS dispatched after house fire injures 3

STARS Air Ambulance responds after a house fire in central Manitoba.

WINNIPEG — Three people, including an infant, were taken to hospital following an early-morning house fire in a small community northeast of Winnipeg Sunday.

RCMP were called to the community of St. Georges just before 4 a.m. A 21-year-old man, 27-year-old woman and 18-month-old were in the house when the fire broke out.

A STARS spokesperson says the baby suffered serious injuries and was transported by air to Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg.

The fire does not appear to be suspicious in nature.
