TORONTO – The 2016 Canadian Country Music Association Awards will be held in London, Ont.

It will be the first time the southern Ontario city has hosted the CCMAs, which will by then be in their 39th edition.

Country Music Week will be held in the city beginning Sept. 8, 2016 and culminating in the awards bash on Sept. 11.

This year’s CCMAs will be held in Edmonton on Sept. 7 — the city’s second consecutive year hosting — with the 2015 show set to rock Halifax.

At last year’s gala, Gord Bamford walked away with a leading five awards including best album and single of the year.
