What’s open and closed this Family Day

Watch the video above: Alan Carter takes a look around Toronto to see what people are doing on Family Day.

TORONTO – You might be surprised to learn that Canada Post will be delivering mail on Monday. Federal government offices are also open. This is because, unlike most statutory holidays, Family Day is a provincial holiday and not a federal holiday. You could also take the kids to see The LEGO Movie or hit one of the many attractions that will be open around the city (if you’re brave enough to venture out in the extreme cold weather expected to hit overnight).

Full list of what’s open and closed this Family Day below.

Transit

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

The TTC runs on its holiday schedule Monday while GO Transit runs on its Saturday schedule. Keep in mind that the subway will not be running between Warden and Kennedy stations on Monday as the TTC is doing work on the tracks. Shuttle buses will be in place between these stations.
