Arcade Fire among Fallon’s guests for first week of ‘Tonight Show’

TORONTO — Montreal band Arcade Fire will be the first Canadian act to perform on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon.

The group is scheduled to appear Feb. 20 — the same night as U.S. First Lady Michelle Obama and comedian Will Ferrell.

Arcade Fire is currently on tour promoting the album Reflektor.

Fallon takes over from Jay Leno as Tonight Show host beginning Feb. 17. His first night’s guests are Will Smith and Irish rock band U2.

Also appearing in the first week are Jerry Seinfeld, Lady Gaga, Bradley Cooper, Tim McGraw, Kristen Wiig and Justin Timberlake.

Fallon, who ended his run on Late Night last week, will tape the Tonight Show in New York. Toronto-born SNL creator Lorne Michaels is executive producer.
