TORONTO — The members of UK pop group The Wanted announced Wednesday their upcoming tour will be their last — for a while, at least.

“Tom, Max, Jay, Siva and Nathan have collectively decided to take time to pursue personal endeavours following the tour’s conclusion,” reads a message posted on the official website.

“The band wants to stress to their fans that they will continue on as The Wanted and look forward to many successful projects together in the future.”

The Wanted — made up of Tom Parker, Max George, Jay McGuiness, Siva Kaneswaran and Nathan Sykes — released its debut album in 2010 but didn’t explode outside the UK until the double-entendre single “Glad You Came” became a hit in North America in 2013.

The group, managed by Justin Bieber’s manager Scott “Scooter” Braun, followed with hits like “I Found You,” “Walks Like Rihanna” and “Chasing the Sun.”

On Twitter, George insisted: “This is not the END.” He explained: “It’s the right time for myself and the other boys to have some time to try and achieve other things in our lives and careers.”

Parker tweeted: “It’s a break, not the end. You can’t get rid of us that easily.”

In December, The Wanted announced the cancellation of some European tour dates in February and March. No reason was provided.

The Wanted are scheduled to perform April 15 in Montreal, April 17 in Toronto and April 25 in Vancouver.
