Missing: Vancouver man vanished a year ago today

24-year-old Kevin Valentyne went missing on Jan. 7, 2013.

He was last seen just before 2 p.m. getting out of his 2008 gray Acura MDX in the area of North Templeton Drive and Oxford Street in Vancouver.

There has been no sign of him since.

“I don’t take blame, I don’t give blame to circumstances,” says Kevin’s mom Vanessa. She says she has not had an update about her son’s disappearance in months, but she thinks he ran into some foul play.

She says Kevin was going to  meet someone that day and left his girlfriend sitting in the car. Then he never came back.

“They haven’t told me anything as to whether there were any suspects,” she says.

Kevin is described as Caucasian, 5’10″ tall, with a stocky build and short black hair.

He has a tattoo of a tiger on his right upper arm and a large scar on the right side of his face.

He was last seen wearing a black, long-sleeved Lululemon shirt and black jeans.

Anyone who sees Kevin, or has any information on his whereabouts, is asked to call the Vancouver Police Missing Persons Unit at (604) 717-2530, or their local police department.

A Facebook page has also been set up to help find him and share information.

“He is obviously not forgotten,” says Vanessa. “I know he is with me daily and  in my thoughts.”
