On Friday, April 28th, 2017, the highly anticipated event “Let’s Shake” will celebrate its 5th annual fundraiser for Parkinson’s disease research. The format of the evening will follow its traditional model including a full sit down dinner, silent and live auction, door prizes and live entertainment. Kim Petrie, organizer of the event wanted to add a special element for the 5th annual event. “We are so thrilled to have Canadian recording artists THE TREWS at our event this year. The band and their management have been amazing in supporting our event and us. We couldn’t be happier that they are joining us.” Petrie indicates there are three reasons why the event takes place: Raising funds for research, Raising awareness for Young Onset Parkinson’s and to come together to celebrate life with friends and family. “We are all fighting some kind of battle so an event like this helps us all to get through our struggles. It is a really positive, and fun event.” Says Petrie.

To date “Let’s Shake” has raised over $150,000 going directly to the research of Dr. Mandar Jog at London Health Sciences. The event was created by Kim Petrie and her husband Jamie and is organized with a group of their close friends.

The 5th annual event will take place at Michelangelo’s Banquet Centre, Upper Ottawa Street, Hamilton on Friday, April 28th, 2017. Along with THE TREWS, there will be live entertainment from Crank, Gord Lewis of Teenage Head and more. Tickets are $65 each and are available at http://www.lets-shake.com
