World’s Longest Hockey Game raising funds for permanent CAR T-cell therapy lab in Edmonton
Description
February 11, 2026
Edmonton’s Don Goss was prepared for end-of-life care after running out of options when his leukemia treatments failed to work. Then, last-minute spot in a CAR T-cell therapy trial at the Cross Cancer Institute changed everything. Now he’s cheering on the players at the World’s Longest Hockey Game in Strathcona County, raising funds to give more patients the same second chance Goss had. Quinn Ohler reports.
