After question period on Thursday, interim House Speaker Louis Plamondon thanked the parliament for their “unanimous support” and “the honour” of being acting speaker for five days. “It’s something that I will remember forever in my long 39-year career. I have had the longest career as an MP, but the shortest as a speaker,” Plamondon said in French.
