The Stollery Children’s Hospital is home to the only Indigenous children’s health program in Canada. Donor funding allows the Awasisak Indigenous Health program to provide safe, respectful, culturally sensitive support services to Indigenous patients’ families and to help reduce anxiety as they navigate the hospital and health-care system. Mike Sutherland, the team lead for the Awasisak Indigenous Health program, joined us on Global News Morning Edmonton to talk about the program.
